Building Products · Australian aluminium skirting board manufacturer

Replacing inconsistent imports with locally-made components — and consolidating multiple parts into one

Before

An Australian aluminium skirting board manufacturer was being let down by their offshore supply of plastic components. Quality was inconsistent run-to-run; production schedules slipped; the customer experience suffered. They needed a local supplier they could trust on quality, with a competitive enough price that the local switch made commercial sense.

What we built

We sat with the client to map exactly what their cost and quality constraints were. The engineering insight: several of their imported parts could be consolidated into a single component, simplifying their inventory and streamlining assembly. We designed it, produced it locally with full QA, and hit a tight deadline for a large Gold Coast project.

The result

The new components delivered superior consistency over the imports. Smaller, more frequent batches cut inventory cost and freed cash. With a local supplier, the client now gets immediate support and faster turnaround on any modification — and we've since helped them bring more of their parts back onshore.
