About
We mould relationships.
Oh, and plastics.
Ramjet Plastics has been making parts — and the relationships behind them — in Brisbane since 1986. A family-run injection moulder built on careful manufacturing, accountable local supply, and the kind of long staff tenure that's getting rare in Australian industry.
Our history
Ramjet started in 1986 to fill a gap in Brisbane: a local injection moulder you could trust to produce high-quality, consistent components — run after run, year after year. The first jobs were internal. Word travelled. Within a few years, other Australian manufacturers were knocking, asking for the same.
Forty years on, the company runs out of a modern Wacol facility with a fleet of moulding machines from 120 to 650 tonnes, half of them inverter-controlled, supported by 100kW of solar and a 6-axis-robot pick line. The investment is in tooling and tech, but the working principle hasn't changed — the same hands have been running the same lines for the same customers for a long time. That's the part visitors notice first.
The team you're talking to.
When you call Ramjet, this is who picks up. Three people who've quietly run the place for a combined six decades.
Sharon Templeton
Office Manager
Has been the steady hand behind Ramjet's office for three decades — running administration, finance, and IT, and quietly keeping the wheels turning while everyone else makes parts. If you've ever sent us an order, an invoice, or a question, it's almost certainly gone past Sharon first.
Grant Tinsley
Factory General Manager
Runs everything that happens on the factory floor. Twenty years in, Grant knows every machine, every job, and every quirk of plastics manufacturing in Brisbane. If your part is moving through Ramjet right now, it's almost certainly under his watch.
Aaron Ford
Head of Tooling
Heads up Ramjet Tooling — the design and manufacturing arm that turns concepts into the moulds we run on the production floor. Aaron leads the engineering side: optimising part design, building tooling, and bridging the gap between idea and parts coming out of the machine.
And the wider crew.
Behind the three faces above sits a crew of operators, machinists, robotics engineers and admin staff who together carry over 150 years of combined plastics-manufacturing experience. Most have been at Ramjet for a decade or more — the kind of stability that's rare in Australian manufacturing, and the reason the same hands have been running the same lines for our customers for years.
